Kell Brook weighs in 11lb heavier than Gennady Golovkin at 30-day check

Kell Brook was 11lb heavier than Gennady Golovkin as he weighed in on the 176lb 30-day limit for their middleweight world title fight.
Brook is stepping up from the 147lb welterweight division to challenge the champion from Kazakhstan on September 10 in London.
But he appears to have allayed fears over the size difference as Golovkin scaled just 165lb on Wednesday.

Golovkin will put his WBA, IBF and WBC titles on the line at The O2 in London and the latter governing body insists on both 30-day and seven-day check weigh-ins.
Both boxers were required not to weigh more than 10 per cent more than the 160lb middleweight limit on Wednesday and must scale within five per cent (168lb) a week before they touch gloves.
But Brook, who holds the IBF belt at welterweight, has no concerns about moving up two divisions.
‘I’m very healthy at 160lbs,’ he said. ‘I’m hydrated and eating well, nice sized meals that are giving me so much energy and I’m giving more of myself in the gym. I’m getting pushed in the gym and I’m delivering.

‘I want to go down in history like Sugar Ray Robinson as doing massive things in big fights and beating the best – GGG is the best fighter in the world, and I am going to beat him.
‘I’m going to be so sharp and so powerful on the night. No-one has got the best out of me before but GGG will bring that out in me and I’m excited to see that from myself. I always find a way to win and there’s going to be massive drama in the fight.
‘It doesn’t get better than this and I’m doing this for the fans that have wanted me to step-up and show them what Kell Brook can really do and prove I am among the elite in the sport.’
